Kling makes the shot; the episode needs more

Kling 4.0, O3 and O3 Pro produce cinematic shots, but a short drama also needs beats, a consistent cast, dialogue and a vertical edit. DramaSo does that and sends each shot to the Kling model you pick, with the price shown first.

Features

Kling for the shots, DramaSo for the episode

Kling renders cinematic shots with strong motion. DramaSo turns your script into those shots, keeps characters consistent across them, and assembles a captioned vertical episode.

Kling 4.0

Up to 30 seconds in one shot at 720p or 1080p, with stereo audio built in. The long-shot option for dialogue and reveals; slower and pricier per second than O3.

Kling O3 Pro

1080p and the highest Kling quality in the picker, for the shots that matter most. Slower to render.

Kling O3

720p, up to 15 seconds and first/last-frame control, about three times faster than O3 Pro. Good for most dialogue shots.

Kling v2.5 Turbo

1080p, a lower-cost Kling option for drafts and B-roll.

Mix models per shot

Kling sits in the same picker as Seedance 2.0 / 2.5, MiniMax H3, Veo 3.1 and Wan 3.0. Use Kling where its motion fits and another model elsewhere in the same episode.

Price before every render

Each shot shows its credit cost before it runs.

Hear it before you render

The whole episode plays as dialogue audio before any Kling credits are spent.

Native 9:16 with captions

Captions are burned into the safe zone for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Kling 4.0, tested before we switched it on

fal opened the Kling 4.0 API to all customers on 23 October 2026. On 24 October we ran real jobs through it, checked every file with ffprobe, and added Kling 4.0 to the DramaSo picker.

Real length, real audio

A 3-second, 720p first-and-last-frame request came back as a 3.04 s clip at 1280×720 and 24 fps, with a stereo AAC track that the API cannot switch off.

About 2.5 to 5 minutes per job

Our 3-second jobs took about 162 s, and up to about 298 s when queued. Kling O3 renders a 5-second shot in roughly 94 s, so keep 4.0 for the beats that need it.

$0.157 per second at list price

Same rate for text, image and reference to video, at 720p and 1080p: about $0.79 for 5 s and $4.71 for a full 30 s shot. DramaSo shows the credit price before each render.

What Kling 4.0 adds for short drama

Kuaishou made Kling 4.0 generally available on kling.ai on 15 October 2026. These are the changes that matter for a vertical episode.

Up to 30 seconds per generation

Any whole number from 3 to 30 seconds, double the 15 seconds of Kling O3. One dialogue beat can stay inside one continuous render.

Up to 10 keyframes

Poses, expressions and story beats can be pinned with up to 10 keyframe images on kling.ai. The start image you give is used as the exact first frame.

Omni reference with voice

Reference to video takes up to 10 images, 5 videos and 7 elements, and subjects can carry a specified voice, with stereo audio and improved lip-sync.

Quick answers

What is Kling AI?

Kling is Kuaishou's video generation model family. Kling O3 and O3 Pro generate short cinematic shots from text and images and are popular for AI short drama and music video work. Kling 4.0, generally available on kling.ai since 15 October 2026 and through fal's API since 23 October 2026, extends single shots to 30 seconds and is in DramaSo since 24 October 2026.

How do you make an AI short drama with Kling?

Write the script, split it into shots, keep reference images for each character, render each shot with Kling, add dialogue and captions, and cut the shots into a 9:16 episode. DramaSo runs those steps in one studio.
