Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash: Hold the Lead Across the Cut

Google released Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash on 27 August 2026. In DramaSo it is a selectable video row for short-drama shots: text or image in, first-and-last-frame camera moves, landscape or portrait, 720P or 1080P. Our measured 360p first–last-frame run came back in 60.4 seconds.

Default this when two storyboard stills have to become one camera move.

Omni 1.1 is a shot-level lever: first-and-last-frame interpolation, 720P or 1080P, 1–15 seconds. The script and the board still happen on their own pages. If you already have two locked stills and need the camera to move between them in HD, this is the row. Do not ask it for 4K upscaling or 40-second scene extension — those are on Google's announcement, not this picker.

Features

Built for the beat that has to stay the same person

A short drama is a stack of 1–15 second shots that still have to look like one scene. Omni 1.1's job in that stack is the cut that walks from still A to still B without swapping the lead's face, wardrobe or room.

First and last frame, not a new cast

Pin the opening picture and the closing picture. The model fills the motion in between — push-ins, whip-pans, orbits — so the hook shot and the twist shot still share a lead.

720P draft or 1080P keeper

The picker lists 720P and 1080P. Quota is 250 credits per 5 seconds at 720P; 1080P is 1.5×, 375 credits per 5 seconds. Board the episode at 720P, restage the hook and the cliffhanger at 1080P.

1–15 seconds, portrait for the feed

Duration is not locked to an 8-second transition slot. Set 1–15 seconds and pick 9:16 for TikTok / Reels / Shorts, or 16:9 when the scene needs width.

What Google shipped vs what this row does today

The announcement and the picker are not the same list. Mixing them up wastes a generation.

Text-to-video, image-to-video, and first-and-last-frame. 720P or 1080P. Landscape or portrait. 1–15 second clips. Selectable as Gemini Omni 1.1.

On Google's 27 August 2026 announcement — not this picker yet

Scene extension (up to 10 seconds of prior context, 10-second increments to 40 seconds) and 4K upscaling are in the official write-up. They are not in the DramaSo shot UI on this page. Do not prompt this row as if they were.

Omni 1.1 is a shot row, not the whole studio

Script, storyboard and episode planning still live on their own pages. Omni 1.1 generates the moving picture between two locked frames. Do not skip the board and hope a single prompt writes the series.

Shoot the beat inside DramaSo

The model is already in the video picker. You do not apply for a key, and you do not leave the short-drama flow to use it.

Pick Gemini Omni 1.1 in the list

Open the create flow, choose Gemini Omni 1.1, set duration and 720P or 1080P, then portrait for the feed. That is the whole setup.

Prompt the shot, or pin both frames

Describe the beat in text, start from a storyboard still, or pass a first frame and a last frame so the clip walks from the hook to the twist.

Stack shots into the episode

Drop each clip on the episode timeline, preview 9:16, and export when the cliffhanger finally cuts clean. Captions and safe-zone layout stay on the generator pages.

From two storyboard stills to a stacked episode, three steps

Nothing to install. The model is already in the DramaSo video picker.

  1. 1

    Pick Gemini Omni 1.1

Open create, choose Gemini Omni 1.1, set 1–15 seconds and 720P (draft) or 1080P (keepers). Pick 9:16 for the feed.

  2. 2

Prompt the beat, or pin both frames

Write the scene, start from a still, or set a first frame and a last frame so the hook and the twist connect. Skip 4K and scene-extension prompts — they are not in this UI.

  3. 3

    Stack, preview, post

Lay the clips on the episode timeline. Preview 9:16, then export for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

When Omni 1.1 is the right row

No video model is universally better — only better fitted. These are the jobs this row is for.

Hook and twist that share a lead

First-and-last-frame is how you stop the lead's outfit from changing between the opening hook and the cliffhanger. Pin the end of shot A as the start of shot B.

A reveal that needs a real camera move

Push-in on the reaction, orbit around a frozen beat, whip-pan into the twist: describe the move, or let two stills define the start and end.

HD keepers after a cheap board

Lock the episode on the storyboard. Restage two or three money shots here at 1080P so the export holds up on a phone in full screen.

Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, answered

What is Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash?

Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash is a text-to-video, image-to-video and first-last-frame video model Google announced on 27 August 2026. In DramaSo it is selected as omni and used to generate 1–15 second short-drama shots at 720P or 1080P.

What is a first-and-last-frame video shot?

A first-and-last-frame shot is a generated clip whose opening picture and closing picture are supplied by the user. The model interpolates the motion in between, which is how consecutive beats keep the same lead, wardrobe and room across a cut.

What did Google announce that DramaSo does not expose yet?

Scene extension — continue a clip using up to 10 seconds of prior context, in 10-second increments up to 40 seconds — and 4K upscaling. Those are in the 27 August 2026 announcement. The DramaSo picker on this page offers 720P/1080P and first–last-frame, not those two.
